Contacts are your private records of the people you work with. They are not shared with anyone.
What a contact has
- First name (required).
- Last name (required).
- Company (optional).
- Job title (optional).
Creating a contact
- By voice, on purpose: "Add a contact named Sophie Martin."
- By voice, while making a task: if you mention a name Maptero does not recognize, it offers to create the contact in the confirmation panel.
- By hand: from the contacts page, or from the contact picker inside the task editor.
On a card, a contact shows as a short chip like "S. Martin."
How names are matched
When you mention a name (for example "Call Sophie"):
- If exactly one contact matches, it is linked automatically.
- If several match (more than one Sophie), Maptero asks you to pick the right one.
- If none match, you can create a new contact on the spot or skip linking.
Filtering by contact
The contacts page lists everyone along with how many active tasks each person has. Tap a contact to jump to your timeline filtered to their tasks. You can also filter by voice: "tasks with Sophie," "filter by Mike Adams." This is handy right before a call or a meeting, so you can see everything tied to that person.
