Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Maptero, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Maptero. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. The Service

Maptero is a voice-enabled task management application. Core features include:

• Creating and managing tasks, projects, and contacts
• Voice-based task creation and updates using AI
• Task organization with priorities, deadlines, and dependencies
• Recurring task management

Maptero is currently provided as an early access product. Features, availability, performance, and data structures may change during this period. We may modify, limit, or discontinue parts of the service as we develop the product.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in Maptero (tasks, projects, contacts, voice inputs). By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of operating the service — including sending voice data to our AI sub-processors for transcription and interpretation.

You can export all your data at any time via the Account settings, and you can request complete deletion of your account and data.

Third-Party Personal Data (Contacts)

Maptero allows you to store contact information (names, companies, job titles) about other individuals for task management purposes. By entering this information, you represent that:

• You have a lawful basis to store and process this data (e.g., legitimate interest for professional task management, or the individual's consent)
• You will not enter sensitive personal data (health, political, religious, biometric, or similar) in contact fields
• You are responsible as data controller for any third-party personal data you enter

Contact names are included in AI processing requests to enable voice-based task assignment and filtering. This means contact names are shared with our AI sub-processors as described in our Privacy Policy.

AI-Generated Outputs

AI-generated interpretations (such as suggested task titles or classifications) are provided as a service output. You may use, modify, or delete them freely. We claim no intellectual property rights in AI-generated outputs.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Access accounts or data belonging to other users
• Use the service to store or transmit malicious content
• Exceed reasonable usage limits or abuse the API

6. Usage Credits (Sparks)

Voice commands consume usage credits ("sparks"). Each account has a monthly credit allowance that resets on the 1st of each month. When your credits are exhausted, voice features are temporarily unavailable until the next billing period. Credit consumption varies by the AI model used and the length of the voice command. Your remaining credits are displayed in the application header.

7. AI Features

Maptero uses artificial intelligence to interpret voice commands and manage tasks. AI-generated interpretations may be inaccurate. You are always shown a confirmation prompt before any action is executed. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI suggestions before confirming them.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform planned maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

If we permanently discontinue the service, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email and make the data export feature available during that period. After the notice period, all user data will be permanently deleted.

9. Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time via the Account settings. Your data will be retained for 30 days (during which you can cancel), then permanently deleted.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. We will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data before termination, except in cases of severe abuse.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed EUR 100. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of EU. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of EU.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
